Dear experts and colleagues: Hello everyone!

        “The 8thInternational Conference of Western Studies on Chinese Medicine and 2020 Canada Acupuncture and TCM Continuing Education Conference” will be held on August 29th (Saturday) -30th (Sunday), 2020,at Toronto. 

        The conference is hosted by the International Acupuncture Manipulation & Moxibustion Association, Yunnan University of Chinese Medicine, and TCM Acupuncture Inheritance Committee of WFAS. The conference is organized by the Ontario College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Yunnan University of Chinese Medicine’s Institute of Western Studies on Chinese Medicine, Hanban Confucius Institute Headquarters International (Western) Chinese Medicine Culture Promotion and Research Base, Inheritance Toronto Base for Acupuncture-Moxibustion of TCM World Federation of Acupuncture-Moxibustion Societies (WFAS), and DC Acupuncture and TCM In . It is co-organized by the International Association of Dr. Wu’s Head Massage, Dr. Wu Naturals Canada Inc, , International Health Qigong Federation, World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies (WFCMS), World Federation of Acupuncture-Moxibustion Societies (WFAS)and supported by many other organizations.


        The theme of the conference is "Western Studies of TCM and the inheritance and development for the benefit of the international community.” The purpose of the conference is to "strengthen the advantages of traditional Chinese medicine and improve clinical efficacy." This academic conference will help the development of the “Belt and Road” in North America.

      This summit forum and academic conference will bring together leading experts and scholars from academia in China and around the world. After speaking at the Markham City Hall Academic Conference on Saturday, August 29th, the academic conference will continue at the Ontario College of Traditional Chinese Medicine on Sunday, August 30th, with the main focus on "workshop presentations." We will also invite well-known scholars from China and around the world to hold a series of academic activities such as the "Lecture Hall of International Famous Teachers" and "Clinical Practical Technology Training Course" in the earlier and later parts of the academic conferences.

        We would like to thank all the TCM experts and scholars from all over the world, especially Ontario, Canada, for their support and participation in the past six academic conferences in 2009, 2011, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019. 

        We sincerely invite domestic and overseas traditional Chinese medicine practitioners, acupuncturists, researchers from various Chinese medicine universities, and leaders of major pharmaceutical companies and medical equipment companies to participate in this conference.  


        Thank you very much for your support. We are looking forward to all of our fellow experts and friends exchanging knowledge with each other.

        Paper requirements: The paper deadline is July 31, 2020. Papers are limited to 3,000 words and should be submitted in Chinese/English bilingual with a 300-word Chinese/English abstract; if Chinese manuscripts need to be translated, an additional $100 (Canadian dollar) translation fee is required. Please email the papers and related documents (in the form of MS PowerPoint) to the Secretariat: info@tcmace.com, or send the papers and CD-ROM to the “Conference Preparatory Committee” at 1A-7100 Warden Ave, Markham, Ontario Canada, L3R 8B5. The conference will organize the proceedings and the academic group has the right to choose the pieces, decide whether to publish and modify the text and graphics of the paper.

International/General Attendees fees:

        The registration fee is $400 USD before May 1, 2020, $440 USD between May 1 to June 1, and $480 USD after June 1. After paying the registration fee and submitting the paper, the organizing committee of the conference will issue a formal personal invitation letter and detailed visa entry and participation guidelines. Those who cannot attend the conference due to entry visas must notify the secretary of the conference committee in writing. The Conference Committee will refund 70% of the registration fee and provide the collected conference papers.  

        Participation fees include the following: conference registration fee, conference materials fee, and refreshments and a welcome dinner. At the end of the two-day meeting, participants will receive a certificate of 16 hours of continuing education (CEU) credits.

Local/Student/Remote Network Participants:

        Registrations fee for local participants is $300 before May 1, 2020, $340 before June 1, and $380 after June 1. Fees for Canadian students from other institutions is $200. Fees for remote network participants is $280 CAD. Local attendees of the welcome dinner will be charged an additional $80 CAD.
